BACK WHEN AIR CANADA FED PEOPLE

“Yo! Yo! Yo! Let me talk to y’all about something real… something old school. Back when Air Canada fed people!”

“I ain’t talkin’ about no little bag of pretzels and a half cup of apple juice, no! I’m talkin’ about back when they rolled up with them big ol’ food trucks—yeah, those trucks that looked like a microwave had sex with a forklift!”

“Wuuuuuurrrrrr—chk-chk-chk—[beep beep beep]—BOOM—here come your mystery meat!”

“And you know who used to run that? Station attendants! Those cats were the real OGs, man. They didn’t just bring the food—no no—they owned that truck. ‘This my rig. You want lasagna? You talk to Tony first.’”

“Yo, I got 300 chicken dinners, 100 fish, and one vegetarian, and I ain’t got no time for your pilot attitude!”

“Man, those guys were crazy! They’d be smoking a cigarette, half hangin’ out the truck window while backing up to a 767 like: ‘Don’t worry, I got this—used to drive buses in Montreal.’”

‘BOOM! BANG!’
‘Yeah it’s good, just a scratch! Plane got insurance!’

“But then… but then corporate came in and said, ‘Hmm, we could save $8.52 a week if we gave this job to Gate Gourmet.’ Gate Gourmet! That’s the name of a Bond villain or a discount cooking show, not somebody you want feeding 200 people at 35,000 feet!”

“Welcome to Gate Gourmet. Today we’re serving sadness with a side of foam tray.”

“Would you like the chicken… or the slightly wetter chicken?”

“And those old food trucks? Gone! Now you got these hydraulic, LED-lit, climate-controlled robo-trucks. Man, back in the day, if the lasagna didn’t catch fire, it wasn’t ready!”

“People used to respect the station attendants, man! They weren’t just feeding you—they were keepin’ the airline together with duct tape, burnt coffee, and pure spite!”

“Now? You sneeze near a cart and three people from corporate gotta sign a form.”

“Old school rampies knew how to hustle. They’d deliver meals, flirt with the flight attendants, AND still make it back to the breakroom in time to bet $5 on the hockey pool.”

“Bring back the food trucks, baby! I want my meatloaf in a tin tray, hand-delivered by a dude named Sal who smells like Jet-A and coffee grounds!”
