Bags Rolling on a Belt so Tight

Bags rolling on a belt so tight,
De-ice trucks spraying through the cold.
Crew chiefs shouting in the dead of night,
As cargo doors refuse to fold.

Everybody knows the tugs and tow bars, heavy weight,
Help to make the flights depart on time.
Tired rampies with their knees near the gate,
Will find that overtime’s not a crime.

Chorus:
They know the pushback’s on its way,
Planes lined up on tarmac, all delayed.
And every ground crew’s working night and day,
Hoping loaders don’t jam or sway.

So, I’m offering this song so clear,
To ramp rats hustling through the snow.
Though your hands freeze and your back may tear,
We salute the ground crews down below!
